Abstract

The generation of civil construction waste (CCW) has grown in recent years in Brazil as a result of rapid urbanization and large-scale construction activities. The planning of waste management within the construction site requires prior knowledge of what is being generated (qualitative data), how much is being generated (quantitative data), and the appropriate destination to be given to this material. The objective of this research was to develop a network of knowledge integration, operationalized with the use of a Geographic Information System and a mobile application for the management of RCC. The developed system displays several layers of information, and provides features such as builders' registry and denunciations. The mobile app increases the coverage area of the system. The system is available on the WEB platform and the application is available on the Android platform. We use the Model-Vision-Controller (MVC) software architecture standard and the PHP programming language for the development of the Geographic Information System and the Ionic framework and the Leaflet map library for mobile application development.
